Diversity and an art pallet...

Like an art pallet contains many different colors so does a classroom!
Diversity is the mixture of different items etc. I can use diversity to enhance classroom experiences and learning.
I understand that diversity is important in creating meaningful teaching/learning experiences. Whether it is diversity among the different types of students in a class or the different styles of learning that occur in a given class room -diversity makes a classroom even more of a broad educational horizon to expand on. The more students become acquainted with other cultures, languages, and ways of life, the better prepared they will be for when the day comes where they will need to know another language other than their native tongue. Diversity even goes much farther than language...it goes into different thought processes and how one thinks about certain things. These differences should be used to encourage learning and social interaction within the classroom. I intend to not glorify but to make great use of the ideas that go behind diversity in the classroom so that I can give my students a wider variety of learning options and socially interactive ways.
